Equality: Something we all Desire
Something that was eye opening for me was the fishbowl lesson we had on the short story “Children of the Sea” where we broke down the concept of equality. Equality has the word Quality which has a variety of meanings. It can mean the quality of life, education, family, economics and government. This shows that all people want is to be treated equally and feel that they are valued, respected, and worthy by others. In my perspective, this is a general fact that the world knows, but sometimes it is not always the case. When there is no equality, people feel marginalized by others and alienated instead of seen as one unit. I feel people are stronger as a one unit and once society understands that, the concept of equality and acceptance will come on it’s own.
